Voodoo Night 03:16
Verse 1 In the Voodoo Night, with nobody around and I'm rolling down a road that I'm not really sure about and I'm listening, to every sound. Verse 2 I can hear an owl hooting, I can hear the dogs bark and what's that? Is it something moving around out there in the dark I'm looking for the light, in the voodoo night. Chorus Tread careful, my Father said yeah. Out there at night in the swamp don't lose your head. One false move, can be the death of you. Verse 3 So I keep on stepping and I stick to higher ground. Head to where the drummers are drumming, I can just hear the sound. Looking for the light, in the Voodoo Night. Chorus Guitar break Chorus Verse 4 So I keep on stepping and I stick to higher ground. Head to where the drummers are drumming, I can just hear the sound. Looking for the light, in the Voodoo Night. Looking for the light in the Voodoo Night. Looking for the light, in the Voodoo Night.

That rooster crows, must be the break of day. Sun coming up, just to light me on my way. Dust down my clothes, think of all the things we said then I turn the engine over, get back on the road ahead. Thought I had a real good friend, one who would always pull me through but one day she said the only, thing I give her was the blues. I just packed my bags, though she meant the whole round world to me. I got a brand new friend and this one runs on gasoline. Starting over. Starting over.

Verse 1 The Sun is setting on Memphis, the Mississippi shines like a sea. The big boats roll and the trucks cross over, Arkansas to Tennessee, Arkansas to Tennessee. Verse 2 There's a drunk on a park bench sleeping, in the last of the evening sun, only opening up one eye, to watch that big river run. Watch that big river run. Chorus There's a pink Cadillac up in Graceland, sure ain't going nowhere. The King is dead, long live the King, he's hanging around in the air. Sometimes so close you can touch him, sometimes gone like the break of day. There's a ghost hanging 'round old Memphis town. That's alright Mamma, he's here to stay, hey hey. Verse 3 The lights in the city start shining, a saxophone somewhere wails, like an echo of that Mystery Train that jumped right off of the rails, yeah yeah, jumped right off of the rails. Repeat chorus

Verse 1 I saw you down at Friar's Point, at the setting of the sun. You were just watching that, big river run. Standing at the crossroads, did you know which way to go. Everyone got to find their own way home. Chorus There was fire in the sky tonight, as the daylight died tonight. You sure would have liked the sight of those reds and blues. Verse 2 The hand that writes the words can't always understand the tune but every drunkard knows, the bar always shuts too soon. There's something about that river, that's never really gone; brother it just keeps rolling on and on. repeat chorus Guitar break Chorus X 2 There was fire in the sky tonight, as I left drove out of this Town tonight. You sure would have liked the sight of those reds and blues
